The role of Project Management Consultant is to support the Programme Management Office Team including: tracking status of project deliverables and milestones; supporting the adoption of the project lifecycle and deliverables; project level risk and issue coordination; monitoring the status of projects transitioning into normal service; coordination of the regular project reporting cycles, Post Project Reviews, Programme and Project level workshops.
Ultimately, a top-notch PMO consultant should be well organized and able to work under pressure.
PROJECT CONSULTANT REQUIREMENT:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Administration, Computer Science or any related field.
A Project Management Professional (PMP / Prince 2 / CAPM) Certification may be advantageous.
Experience of project management using AGILE methodology (or equivalent) for medium to large sized projects, Knowledge on JIRA is advantageous.
Knowledge of an agile framework or method (i.e. Scrum, Kanban), or understanding of software development life cycle models as well as in-depth knowledge of traditional project management principles and practices
Excellent knowledge of Scrum techniques and artifacts (such as definition of done, user stories, automated testing, backlog refinement
A minimum of five years' experience in the IT industry.
Strong leadership skills with Good written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to details and technicalities along with Good interpersonal and multi-tasking skills.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Provide and maintain a capacity planning and resource tracking service across the Projects
Update and maintain the Risk Log, Action Log, Decisions Log, and Issue Register
Ensure cross-project dependencies are managed and the dependency log is accurately maintained.
Initiate Change Management across the project portfolio in IT
Coordinate sprints, retrospective meetings and daily stand-ups and Work with product owners to handle backlogs and new requests
Ensure deliverables are up to quality standards at the end of each sprint along with and artifacts (such as definition of done, user stories, automated testing, backlog refinement.
Resolves team impediments with other Scrum Masters to increase the effectiveness of the application of Scrum in the organization.
