Job Description
Role & Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, support, and maintain network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls, link balancers, Cisco DNA centers, intrusion prevention/detection systems, etc.). This includes but is not limited to managing the network hardware, software, and security systems and ensuring the network operates efficiently and securely.
- Familiar with Software Defined Network architecture and experience in managing, supporting, and configuring Cisco SDA architecture (Provisioning, automation through Cisco DNA Centers).
- Provide technical network and security support whenever needed.
- Troubleshooting network problems, optimizing network configurations, and implementing network upgrades.
- Ensure the protection of the network and its assets.
- Collaborate with other IT staff including system and database administrators, and the application team whenever needed.
- Stay up to date with the latest network technologies and trends and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Create and maintain network and security documentation including but not limited to network diagrams, configuration files, etc.
- Ability to work independently and as a team and to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Maintain and support F5 load balancing.
- Real-time Analysis of network traffic for misuses, and anomalies and taking necessary actions to mitigate the potential risks.
- Conduct regular network health checks and analyze.
- Strong knowledge and experience in Cisco and Avaya IP telephony systems.
- Strong knowledge of ISE and other NAC solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in network and security.
- Strong knowledge of network and security technologies including routing, switching, firewalls, intrusion prevention, intrusion detection, load balancers, VoIP, Wireless Controllers and Access Points, etc.
- Experience with network design and planning including planning, configuration, and deployment.
Familiar with Cisco SDA architecture and Software Defined Network.
