Job Title: SME techno Functional Lead
Location: Dubai
Job Summary:
- A highly skilled Technical SME with expertise in data governance platform. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing and developing solutions and ensuring data governance standards are effectively implemented across the organization. The purpose of a job in data governance is to establish and ensure quality, integrity, and security of an organization's data assets. It involves developing and enforcing policies, standards, and procedures to manage data throughout its lifecycle. The individual is responsible for identifying, classifying, and organizing data elements, as well as defining data ownership, roles, and responsibilities within an organization.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
- Comprehensive knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), having thorough understanding of various phases like requirements study, analysis/design, development, testing, implementation and support.
- Good understanding of Data Warehouse architecture, data modeling, data mining, data migration and ETL concepts.
- Experience in analysis, design, development, testing and implementation of Data warehousing Projects.
- Excellent industry domains focus with specialization in the banking applications (Corporate and Retail).
- Expertise knowledge on Oracle, SQL and PL/SQL.
- Profound knowledge of SAP Business Objects architecture, tools, and services both in Windows and UNIX environments.
- Extensive experience in gathering business and application requirements from end users and transforming business requirements into functional requirements, identifying effort involved and delivery dates in achieving the requirements.
- Excellent analytical, verbal, presentation and managing skills.
- Drive the development and implementation of a data governance framework for the organization.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to the data governance team and other stakeholders.
Education & experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a relevant field
- 10+ years of demonstrated experience in data governance or data management
- Excellent knowledge of data governance principles, procedures, and practices
- Advanced knowledge of SQL and database systems
- Strong understanding of data architecture and data modeling
- Familiarity with data quality, data lineage, and data classification
- Excellent communication and analytical skills
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking ability
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Develop, implement and maintain data governance policies, procedures, and standards
- Lead the remediation of data issues and ensure the quality and accuracy of data
- Create and execute data quality metrics and reporting
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure compliance with data governance policies
- Identify risks and recommend solutions to improve data governance practices
- Monitor the performance of the data governance program and develop improvement initiatives
