Job Title: Business Analyst - Insurance
Location: Abu Dhabi
Job Summary
- We are currently seeking a skilled and dynamic Business Analyst to join our team and play a key role in driving digital transformation initiatives, handling change requests, and implementing agile practices to enhance our operations and customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and technology teams to identify opportunities for digital transformation and process improvement within the insurance domain.
- Analyse existing systems, processes, and workflows to identify bottlenecks and areas for enhancement.
- Develop and document business requirements for digital solutions, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and customer needs.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to facilitate the implementation of digital initiatives and track project progress.
- Lead change management efforts for digital transformation projects, ensuring smooth adoption and integration of new technologies and processes.
- Conduct impact assessments and stakeholder analyses to identify potential challenges and develop effective change management strategies.
- Develop communication plans, training materials, and workshops to educate stakeholders and promote buy-in for proposed changes.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of change initiatives, adjusting as needed to ensure successful outcomes.
- Champion agile methodologies within the insurance domain, promoting iterative and collaborative approaches to project management.
- Collaborate with Product Owners and development teams to prioritize and refine user stories, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Continuously improve agile processes through feedback, retrospectives, and lessons learned.
- Working knowledge of ad-hoc query tools and data repositories that support data extraction and manipulation
- Knowledge of Systems Development Life Cycle
- Experience in problem analysis and process
- Comprehensive knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Visio
- Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
- Demonstrated experience with process documentation and re-engineering
- Demonstrate expertise of interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
- Able to guide the business on change importance and right prioritization
- Able to guide the business on value-added changes avoid non-value-added changes with a focus on business process transformation
- Able to prepare effective test cases, hands on experience of defects management tool & should be able to drive the test case strategy
Education & experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience with about 5 years in insurance domain & experience in UAE is preferred
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst within the insurance industry, specifically focusing on digital transformation.
- Strong understanding of insurance processes, products, and regulations in the Middle east.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and facilitate productive discussions.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Proficiency in using business analysis tools and techniques, such as process modelling, data analysis, and user story development.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
Key Performance Indicators
- Preferred Qualifications: Professional certifications in business analysis (e.g., CBAP) or agile methodologies (e.g., CSM, CSPO) are advantageous.
- Experience working on large-scale digital transformation projects in the insurance sector.
