Application Support Analyst                      

Work Location : Abu Dhabi


Role Purpose: 

  • The successful candidate will lead and coordinate resources required to support BBD applications (mobile, web portal, Norbloc blockchain) of medium to high complexity in Digital Account Opening, Middle Office Automation & Cash Management System followed by production system support and user training. The role includes responsibility for initiating, managing, closing the projects and all processes such as quality/control, communication, stakeholder management, people leadership, and knowledge harvesting.
  • The successful candidate will have to engage with the BBD business team and Customer to handle their day-to-day quires related to Digital Account Opening, Middle Office Automation & Cash management, support BBD business on day-to-day basis to analyze issues and change requests for related system. Candidate will also be involved in new requirements gathering, manage the overall system, and assist other team to perform technical changes in Intellect Turmeric, Digital Form, UAEPASS etc.



Key Accountabilities of the role :

  • Ensure assigned systems of responsibility (Norbloc Blockchain, iTurmeric, , Digital Form, UAEPASS & Host-to-Host) with high level of availability, performance and application security without any business impact or financial loss.
  • Production support for Digital Account Opening, Middle Office Automation, Host to Host and other Cash Management systems.
  • Develop MIS reports for Cash management systems up on customer and BBD request.
  • Responsibility for initiating, managing, closing the projects and all processes such as quality/control, communication, stakeholder management, people leadership, and knowledge harvesting.
  • Lead in closing the Audit, Risk and compliance observations.
  • Comply with Client IT processes, and procedures.
  • Ensure business continuity by conducting periodic system health check, DR rehearsal, security updates, technology updates, backups, hardware maintenance, software maintenance, license maintenance, and technical design improvement to assigned systems
  • Support requests of information, dashboards, MBLs and adhoc reports related to assigned systems.
  • Maintain the service level of vendors support and quality of development.
  • Improve awareness and keep knowledge up-to-date about supported systems and related IT technology solutions.
Specialist Skills:
  • Understanding of Cash management products, their workflow and life cycle.
  • Experience of working on Corporate mobile applications, Cash Management BBD Products.
  • Hands on experience of implementation, configuration and support of Cash Management system (Preferably Digital Account Opening, Middle Office Automation, Host to Host and SME banking Cash management systems).
  • Proven track record of working experience with Cash management implementations and solution delivery (Preferable Intellect iGCB & iGTB Products).
  • Experience in SDLC of Cash management applications. 
  • Experience in UAT and stakeholder management.
  • Results-oriented individual and is able to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Experience in requirement definition and analysis, workshop facilitation and documentation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Project Management Experience
  • Excellent communication, presentation and consultancy skills
  • Experience of working in a Bank or financial services company (Preferably Islamic Banking).
  •  Previous experience required (if any)    

  • Minimum 7 Years in banking (5 years in BBD/GTB Products and Cash Management system)

BBD: Business Banking Product


Technical skills:  
  • Programming and SQL language 
  • Mobile app development and Support(Android and iOS)
  • Microservices support and troubleshooting
  • Advance excel, word and PowerPoint skills.
  • Technical Analysis and Business analysis
  • Technical deployments in WebSphere
  • Unix/Windows server management 
  • Experience in version control systems 
  • Knowledge in SFTP and File Transfer tools like Go Anywhere etc.
  • Expertise in managing applications in .NET and Java platforms
  • Ability to communicate effectively with IT specialists (e.g., IT security, network infrastructure teams, Unix, Windows etc.)
Educational Qualification :

A good degree in Computer Science or equivalent with minimum 7 years of relevant working experience.
