Data Analyst

Work Location : Dubai

Job PurPOSE:

The job holder will research, collect and analyse data across by providing assistance to the leadership team/ Business teams to interpret data in making informed decisions. Serve a primary role in advancing research and analytic needs by utilizing data to enable management to make data-informed decisions and drive actions

kEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee the design, implementation, maintenance, security and administration of database systems by providing expert data analysis to answer critical questions that will help the leadership / business team to manage and understand the data and the trends.
• Prepare thoughtful and insightful dashboards which are interactive and contribute to the decision making by establishing reporting standards to deliver automated solutions where possible
• Develop complex data analysis, methodologies, and predictive data models for assessing outcomes by leading management projects that include a variety of advanced qualitative and quantitative analytic assignments. 
• Analyse and interpret organisational data in a number of formats including dashboards, graphs, charts and reports by using statistical techniques that communicate information trends to non-specialists, stakeholders and management.
• Understand and establish business requirements by acquiring data from leadership team/ business units/ stakeholders/ primary or secondary data sources to prioritize business and information needs.
• Define and setup new processes, systems and specialist tools to extract the data needed to improve business opportunities 
• Be a Subject Matter Expert in advanced data techniques, including data access, data integration, data visualization, data discovery and statistical methods.
• Identify patterns, trends in data sets and issues with data quality within databases by testing data systems and maintaining databases to make working with data more efficient 
• Be able to standardize methodologies and bring efficiency, uniformity, and timelines to support performance measurement and evaluation.
• Implement and coordinate data management goals and objectives for the purpose of providing efficient and effective functioning of system policies and procedures.
• Document requirements and get necessary signoffs from stakeholders.
• Work with leadership / Business teams to develop reports and conduct data quality audits as required.

Minimum Qualifications : 

• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics/ Maths/ Economics/Data science

Minimum Experience (number of years)/and Knowledge: 

• Working knowledge and understanding of reporting & data visualisation tools such as Business Objects, PowerBI and Tableau and databases such as SQL Server, Oracle and SAP
• 4-5 years of experience in data models and reporting packages
• Ability to analyse large datasets and write comprehensive reports
• Working knowledge of analytics tools including Google 360, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Adobe Marketing Suite is recommended.
